PETEY

July 15, 1995-February 21, 2005

My heart is broken. After having a very good day, playing with one of his toys and chewing on his bone we decided to run out to dinner. When we got back Petey was disoriented, had thrown up and couldn't walk straight. After awhile he got better. We cleaned him up and took him for a potty break. He settled in his chair and we went to bed. We heard a loud noise and turned on the light and he was on the floor. He was having severe seizures. He would be quiet then thrashing. We were able to get him to the car and met the vet at the hospital. His options were to put him in IV's get him calm with Valium (to prevent seizures) and observe him. He said there wasn't much more to do. We couldn't let him go on as the episodes were getting more severe and our precious boy needed some peace. So at 11:30 pm on Feb. 21, 2005 Petey went to the Rainbow Bridge to be with Jake and Zachary. He will be forever in our hearts. We loved him so and were blessed to have him for 9 years and 7 months. But now he is at peace and pain free. I am hurting so much, my husband is completly crushed and Beau looks for him. The sadness is overwhelming.

Petey's Mom

We were very sad to find out that Petey has gone to Rainbow Bridge this morning. We are at a loss for words as we have grown fond of Petey. We offer our condolences to Petey's Mom. Our candles will be burning today to light Petey's way.
